About

I am Chenran (Kim) Jin, a software engineer residing in the vibrant city of Boston. I am currently working for Plymouth Rock Assurance, Shared Technology Group. My passion lies in the intersection of art and technology, where I weave together the technology through thoughtful design.

I hold a Bachelor degree in Applied Computational Mathematics from the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating in Feb 2021. This academic foundation has equipped me with a solid understanding of the principles that underpin software engineering and mathematics models, providing me with the knowledge to create apps that seamlessly blend aesthetics and functionality.

Plymouth Rock Assruance Corp.

Mar 2022 - Present

Troubleshooted and steered motorcycle insurance purchase flow based on Spring. Used Java 8 features (lambda expression, stream API, etc.) to meet project manager’s new requirement and defect tickets.

Individually maintaining policies and claims auto-process workflow based on Python. The workflow including index policy docs and claims, fetch the police report and medical bill from third party vendors.

Architect & installed a new logging system using Elastic Cloud by creating the new logback setup and modified server dependencies. And implemented a PII filter to protect real customer information.
